Beam Reinforcement Design
Configure longitudinal bars, stirrup distribution, and hook geometry for multi-span structural beams.
Span Management
Use the Previous and Next controls to cycle through individual spans of a continuous beam. Settings can be defined uniquely for each span or synchronized across the entire element.
Longitudinal Reinforcement
Define the primary structural bars and additional support reinforcement layers.
Specify the Quantity and Diameter for top and bottom continuous reinforcement.
Add localized reinforcement at supports to handle peak moments without increasing the full-span bar area.
Enable Optimized Bar Length to utilize maximum stock lengths and minimize laps where applicable.
Stirrup & Transverse Rebar
Configure shear reinforcement spacing and overrides.
| Parameter | Function | Override Logic |
|---|---|---|
| Quantity & Spacing | Defines the number of stirrups and the center-to-center distance. |
Global Override Checkbox When checked, these settings bypass the default Beam Rebar Settings. |
| Diameter | Sets the bar size for the shear links/stirrups. |
Hook Definition
Select anchor types for bar ends (90°, 135°, or 180° hooks). The system automatically calculates development lengths based on the selected Diameter.
Detail View Creation
Three specialized checkboxes allow for the automated generation of sections within the Beam Elevation View:
- Left Support Detail
- Mid-Span Detail
- Right Support Detail
Commits the reinforcement geometry to the Revit model for the current span.
